We will present the research behind the thermally activated responsive building envelope, Sense IV, at the 2016 International Conference for Structures and Architecture, held in Portugal. The presentation and publication will exhibit the underlying idea, computational/simulation models and images of the full scale prototype.

The research work behind the Sense III project will be published in the forthcoming book 'Modelling Behaviour' edited by Mette Ramsgaard Thomsen, Martin Tamke, Christoph Gengnagel, Fabian Scheurer, Billie Faircloth, published by Springer Verlag. We are excited to take part in the Design Modeling Symposium Conference, which the book is based on.
Isak has defended his PhD thesis 'Environmental Tectonics - Matter Based Architectural Computation' in the Utzon Center auditorium through an engaging and inspiring discussion with the assessment committee.

Anke has been appointed the first Associate Professor at KEA's Design Department - Copenhagen School of Design and Technology. Anke will take part in forming the new curriculum and future research projects.

The article features a double page interview and description of the intentions, research and full scale prototype.
